Snowdonia Osteo is an osteopathic clinic based in Conwy, North Wales, and run by registered osteopath Hugo Matcham. For anything from back pain, neck pain and sciatica to joint pain, RSI and sports injuries, there's always something I'll be able to do to help. Treating causes, not just symptoms.

About Hugo

My story, how I came to practice osteopathy, my experience as an osteopath, what brought me to Snowdonia and my approach to healthcare.

My story

“Hugo worked with me at my clinics from the day he graduated and I can honestly say that his approach to clinical examination, assessment, treatment and management is one of the most thorough and competent I have ever come across. Hugo is a real professional; he’s extremely knowledgeable, kind, sincere and will always go the extra mile for his patients. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone."

(Dr. Carl Todd, osteopath to Chelsea FC and the England Football Association).

I'm a graduate of the University College of Osteopathy (then called the British School of Osteopathy) and I'm registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

I have a law degree and worked for many years in the film and television industries in London before becoming an osteopath.

From qualification I worked for Dr. Carl Todd (osteopath to Chelsea FC and the England Football Association) at his West Country clinics treating patients from all walks of life including farmers, tradesmen, office workers and athletes from youth to elite level.

As a practitioner my aim is to provide symptom relief in the shorter term whilst helping you to understand the root causes of the issue and giving you the means to manage your own recovery and longer-term wellbeing.

My partner Anna is originally from Betws-y-Coed and after many years of living and working in London we decided to move back to the area so we could be closer to family and to set up the practice.

As a resident of the Snowdonia National Park it feels right to be giving a bit back on a regular basis so £1 from every treatment will be donated to Wales Air Ambulance to help them continue providing emergency air cover across the country for those facing life-threatening illness or injury.
